How to see your world's locations!

I know my world seed and my world was created on/after this Mistlands update Your seed is listed underneath the name of your world in Valheim. Just close this menu and type in your seed where it says 'seed'.
I don't know or aren't sure about my world seed and my world was created on/after this Mistlands update If you don't want to find your seed you can upload a tiny FWL file from your world to extract the seed automatically! To upload your fwl go here.
My world is older than this Mistlands update (3/1)Read the locations from your world file. If you made your world any time before this Mistlands update then you must use this method to get 100% accuracy. The game reshuffled your locations so they can't be totally predicted without it.

Scanning your world file

If your world was made before this Mistlands update came out uploading your world file is the only way to get 100% accuracy. Just follow these directions:

To get started just click "Choose File" and select your .fwl AND your .db file OR just drop the files directly onto this page. If you're using a dedicated server you'll have to download this file using the steps from your host.

[LEGACY ONLY] For windows users click "Choose File" and then paste this into the file name "%appdata%\..\locallow\IronGate\Valheim\worlds" (NO Quotes!) Then just select the .db, and .fwl (ctrl click on windows) with your world's name.

[STEAM CLOUD] For windows users click "Choose File" . Your saves will be in this directory:
"C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\userdata\<your steam id>\892970\remote\worlds"
If there is only one user your steam id is the 8 digit number folder

Linux users may be able to find their seed under the path: "~/.config/unity3d/IronGate/Valheim/worlds/" Remember to select the .db and .fwl

SELECT BOTH FILES AT THE SAME TIME: Select the .db, and .fwl (ctrl click on windows) with your world's name. For example if your world is called "Dog" select Dog.fwl and Dog.db

Upload Your FWL & DB file at the same time

This form can be used to report a bug when the bug happens. You MUST report the bug from the page the bug happened. Do not refresh or file the bug on a different tab or the bug will be useless!

If the terrain on your map looks different, then you have one of the following problems. If you are using the mistlands beta please know this is a Work In Progress.

Problem:You have the wrong seed.
Fix: Use the seed extractor to get the right seed.
Problem:You selected the wrong file with the seed extractor.
Fix: Use the seed extractor but make sure the .fwl file name matches your world name!
Problem:You are mistaking the in-game fogged map as different when it is actually the same.
Fix: Look carefully at the fogged map. Try taking a screenshot and comparing the two side-by-side
Problem:You are playing on a dedicated server and mistook the world name for the seed.
Fix: Download the .fwl file from your server and use the seed extractor to get your real seed.
Problem:You used mods when generating your world.
Fix: Some mods will change world generation breaking the seed generator. I don't support mods that alter generation right now.

If your page isn't loading please try the following things:

Try a hard refresh Follow these steps.
Try a different browser
Wait a couple hours and then try a hard refresh again. Sometimes remote caches take a while to clear.
If none of this helps try contacting me via the details in the about page.

Please make sure you selected the correct world version. Remember your world version is not the version you are playing. It is the version you first created your world in! If your world was created on an older build than 0.202.19 (including 0.202.14 the original H&H update) some of your world locations will be wrong. This is because Valheim actually re-randomized your locations during the world upgrade process. Please use "world upload" (blue button) instead!

If you need help figuring out your world version click the (?) next to world version.

If your world was made the day of the H&H update or any day before then, then you MUST upload your world (blue icon next to seed) to get 100% accuracy. See (?) for more details

Remember. If you are not in the same tab that the bug happened in this report will be useless! Instead reproduce the issue and then click the help icon and report a bug then. Even when Unity freezes this button will continue to work.
